About Us
Miracles Happen Everyday:
Our Story
The vision for Streams of Light International has always included the desire to establish a training institute. From the very beginning, we felt a deep calling to create a space for growth, education, and transformation. In 2022, we dedicated six months to meticulously planning, strategizing, and dreaming about how to bring this vision to life. However, during that time, we sensed a clear message from the Lord—that it wasn’t yet the right moment.
So, we redirected our focus, spending the remainder of 2022 and 2023 strengthening our services, deepening relationships, and expanding our outreach. But in early 2024, the Lord made it abundantly clear that the time had arrived to begin the Training Institute. The Executive Committee committed to a period of study, prayer, and fasting, seeking confirmation that this was indeed God’s will for us.
As we prayed and waited, we experienced multiple providences and clear answers to our prayers. With hearts full of conviction and faith, we knew that it was time to move forward. In less than one year, God has allowed us to establish the SOLTI Board and He has led us to purchase a 1,200-acre property (known as OakHaven). Now, we are eagerly preparing to launch our first training program in March 2025.
The miraculous provision we have witnessed has been nothing short of extraordinary. We stand firm in the belief that the Lord has raised up this institute for His purposes, and we are excited to see the ways in which He will continue to guide and use it for His glory.

Statement of Beliefs
SOLTI is in complete harmony with the Seventh-day Adventist Church and its mission. We believe that it has been chosen by God to proclaim the everlasting gospel to the world. Furthermore, we believe in and affirm the 28 fundamental beliefs as voted by the General Conference in Session.—Streams of Light Training Institute Board of Directors
Our Values
Belief in the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the foundation of all Christian faith and practice. We also recognize the Spirit of Prophecy as a special gift given to the Seventh-day Adventist Church to guide us in our mission. Our curriculum and daily life at SOLTI are grounded in these two pillars of truth.
The Power of Prayer
At SOLTI, we strongly emphasize both personal and corporate prayer as essential to success in ministry and spiritual growth. Our goal is to have our campus bathed in prayer constantly. We will have consistent scheduled opportunities for prayer meetings, prayer vigils, weeks of prayer, and more.
The Importance of Faith
Faith is the foundation of our walk with God and ministry. At SOLTI, we encourage students to develop unshakable faith in God’s promises, trusting Him in every circumstance. We believe that even when circumstances seem impossible, God will fulfill His Word.
Complete Surrender to God
We believe total surrender to God is essential for spiritual growth and effective ministry. As Jesus said, “Whoever does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple” (Luke 14:33). At SOLTI, we train students to yield their lives entirely to God’s will, enabling them to experience Christ to the fullest.
The Importance of the Holy Spirit
We believe that only through the transformative power of the Holy Spirit can we experience character transformation and reach the world for Jesus. At SOLTI, we emphasize the daily need for the baptism of the Holy Spirit, recognizing that without His presence, all our efforts are in vain.
Unreserved Dedication to Mission
We are committed to fulfilling the task of sharing the three angels’ messages with the world. At SOLTI, we cultivate a heart for mission, encouraging students to live with urgency and passion for reaching souls. This dedication requires self-sacrifice and a willingness to spend and be spent for the gospel.
Respect and Love
Jesus taught that love for one another is the hallmark of true discipleship (John 13:35). At SOLTI, we strive to create a community where respect and love for God, each other, and those we serve are evident in everything we do.
Support of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
We are a supporting ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. At SOLTI, we work in harmony with the church, following the counsel of its leaders and supporting the global mission to share the gospel.
Why Comprehensive Evangelism?
“Christ’s method alone will give true success in reaching the people. The Saviour mingled with men as one who desired their good. He showed His sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence. Then He bade them, ‘Follow Me.’ There is need of coming close to the people by personal effort. If less time were given to sermonizing, and more time were spent in personal ministry, greater results would be seen… Accompanied by the power of persuasion, the power of prayer, the power of the love of God, this work will not, cannot, be without fruit.” (Ministry of Healing, 143.3-143.4)
Through literature evangelism, workers can meet people where they are—right in their homes. Often, prejudice and life circumstances prevent many from hearing the gospel in traditional settings, but a canvasser can break through these barriers.
“There are many, who, because of prejudice, will never know the truth unless it is brought to their homes. The canvasser may find these souls and minister to them. There is a line of work in house-to-house labor which he can accomplish more successfully than others. He can become acquainted with the people and understand their true necessities; he can pray with them and can point them to the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world.” (Colporteur Evangelism, 6.2)
In addition to spreading the gospel through literature, canvassers have a unique opportunity to bring comprehensive ministry to the homes they visit. By learning simple methods of health treatment, literature evangelists can meet people’s physical and spiritual needs.
“Canvassers should be able to give instruction in regard to the treatment of the sick… Thus they may work as medical missionaries, ministering to the souls and the bodies of the suffering.” (Colporteur Evangelism, 18)
Moreover, literature evangelism often opens doors for deeper spiritual connections. Canvassers have the opportunity to lead Bible studies and share the Word of God in a personal setting:
“As the canvasser visits the people at their homes, he will often have opportunity to read to them from the Bible or from [other] books that teach the truth. When he discovers those who are searching for truth he can hold Bible readings with them. These Bible readings are just what the people need. God will use in His service those who thus show a deep interest in perishing souls. Through them He will impart light to those who are ready to receive instruction.” (Colporteur Evangelism, 19.2)
Through this personal and prayerful ministry, God works through literature evangelists to plant seeds of truth and nurture hearts that are seeking Him.
Why The Great Controversy?
At the heart of our literature evangelism efforts is The Great Controversy, a book that carries an urgent and vital message for our time. Ellen White emphasized the significance of this book in fulfilling the commission of Revelation 18:1:
“And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.” (Revelation 18:1)
“In a large degree through our publishing houses is to be accomplished the work of that other angel who comes down from heaven with great power, and who lightens the earth with his glory.” (Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 7, p. 140)
The Great Controversy not only outlines the cosmic struggle between good and evil but also presents the last message of warning for the world in a clear and compelling way. Ellen White expressed a deep desire for this book to be circulated more than any of her other books:
“The Great Controversy should be very widely circulated… I am more anxious to see a wide circulation for this book than for any others I have written; for in The Great Controversy, the last message of warning to the world is given more distinctly than in any of my other books.” (Letter 231, 1905)
Although it’s not the only book that should be distributed, by sharing The Great Controversy, in a large way we participate in the work of the “other angel” who lightens the world with the glory of God. It is not just a book—it is a tool that prepares hearts for the final events of Earth’s history and invites individuals to take their stand on the side of truth.
